Pink is POPPIN! Yes, the color of the season is really making head turns and making a statement in the wardrobe department and I\’m all here for it! I think a whole lot of loud, fun, and vibrant is much needed on the style menu, considering the year we\’ve had, and pink is going to be best medicine for us, and if you\’re into bubblegum pink, you\’re in luck. It\’s the shade of pink that rules the runway right now.
As much as we love our neutrals, pink is a far cry from that and theres plenty of room to try out this color trend- be it accessories or ready to wear. The good news is, that if you\’re still in loungewear mode, there are a lot of great options for pink sweat sets, so don\’t fret if you\’re not ready to leave the house just yet.
What a way to welcome spring than with the perfect pink look! For me, it was all about this Milly ensemble. We\’re seeing a lot of wide trousers this season and Milly has the most amazing pair in their latest collection! These hot pink babies are so luxurious and on trend. The fabric hugs in all the right places without being constricting. They are high waisted and comfortably fit without any gathering, which is huge. My first thought was to pair these with a pink sweater in another shade, and then I found this one on their website and jackpot- exactly the color I was looking for. Because I now live in NY, I opted for a cozy turtleneck sweater, which I can use with other pieces in my closet, but the monochromatic pink on pink is such a lovely departure from what is normally expected. You guys should try it too!
If I was in warmer weather, I would go for a pink silk cami or a great blouse. That\’s the beauty of these pants- they can be worn with just about anything beyond black and white pieces. You can also do a fun print and even animal print like zebra or leopard.
Channeling my inner \’Kathy from the Block\’ and going for more of a street style, sporty vibe with this look, so yes, I added my shell top Adidas to keep the look playful and change things up a bit. Can you wear it with heels? Of course. You can also wear with wedges, but for me, I\’m all about the sneaker look because its a cool and effortless way to be comfortably chic.
Because the look itself is so bold, I kept the accessories down to sunglasses and a floral clutch, booth from fast fashion giant, Shein. Theres a mix of high and low going on here, and something I preach a lot on my blog and on my IG. You don\’t have to break the bank to look good! These Milly pieces were a splurge, yes, because I know I will be re-wearing them time and time again and the quality is exceptional, but I like to mix that with other low-cost pieces to balance out the whole look.
Alright, we have to talk about the hair! Looking glam in the playground is courtesy of Glamsquad who always kill it with the waves for me. Also, I like to do my blowouts very early in the am and the convenience of having them come to my home to get ready when I have a shoot is priceless. Download the Glamsquad app and book your first appointment and see the beauty of convenience work it\’s magic!
I can\’t wait to see how you each style your pink pieces for the season. If you get stuck, send me a DM! In the meantime, happy shopping and tag me in your photos!
