Summer is in full swing and that means colors that pop! pop! pop! It also means tropical print overload. This is my fourth summer back in Miami and I\’ve noticed that there\’s now an even amount of black NYC clothes and Miami-inspired bright clothes! Maybe it\’s the blonde hair, but this outfit is a bit extra in the brightness department!
It was only fitting that we captured this summer look at one of the most beautiful hotels in Miami, the Biltmore Hotel, and in the Mediterranean courtyard, no less, surrounded by lush palm trees, colors, and mosaic tiles!
Let\’s break down this look! I have been living in these hot pink high-waisted pants all summer and I love them. They\’re from Target, and they\’re so comfortable, breathable, and easy to pair with just about anything. In this case, I really wanted to break up the pink pants with the busy pattern and colors of the button down blouse, so I decided to add a black bodysuit. I\’m pretty sure this black bodysuit is lingerie, since that\’s where I found it when I bought it at Forever 21, but it\’s been absolutely the best piece to wear with my looks (because I doubt I\’ll ever wear a bodysuit as lingerie/sleepwear). I also love that I don\’t have to wear a bra with it! Ha!
I could have worn it as is, and I actually have, but I opted to throw on this tropical print blouse, also from Forever 21. It\’s an alternative way to wear a button down this summer- pair it over a bodysuit or a neutral or white tank.
Let\’s talk about the accessories! No outfit is complete without them. I\’m kind of obsessed with these blue blockers and I love that they have so much character- like straight out of the 70\’s character! I love an aviator frame so these were an instant hit. I\’ve been wearing this round straw bag all summer long and it\’s perfect for the essentials.
Have you ever seen a cuter pair of white sandals?! Plus, so they are so easy to wear because they\’re slip on! I love them and the best part is the price- 14 bucks! You can still get them in a variety of colors from Chiffino. I own them in black and white! White is such a great neutral, and with a price tag like that, I don\’t feel too bad if they get dirty.
What do you guys think of this summer look?!
